What are the days of fasting in the month of Muharram     ثم أن يوم عاشوراء عند كل العلماء Muslim scholars said that the day of Ashura is   هو يوم العاشر من شهر الله المحرم The tenth day of the month of Allah "Muharram" وهل يصام التاسع أم لا About : Are we fasting on the ninth day or not?   أخبر النبي (ﷺ) في أواخر حياته أن اليهود يصومون يوم عاشوراء Prophet, peace be upon him late in his life know that Jews were fasting this day                                فقال (ﷺ) لإن عشت إلى قابل لأصومن التاسع So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had said:If I live till the next (year), I would definitely observe fast on the 9th, and the narration transmitted by Abu Bakr is:" He meant the day of Ashura."        فلم يعش النبي (ﷺ) But he did not live(ﷺ)    بل مات النبي (ﷺ) But he died (ﷺ)   ولم يمضي ما قاله أي لم يصم التاسع And He not fast on the 9th    فكان بن عباس رضي الله عنهما Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased them) was his opinion is    يرى أن الذي يصام هو اليوم التاسع من شهر الله المحرم That fasting is the ninth day of the month of Muharram    أما الجمهور وهم اكثر العلماء فقالوا أن الذي يصام هو اليوم العاشر But The majority of scholars of Muslims said; Fasting on the tenth day   وجمع فريق من أهل العلم استحبابا قالوا But some of the scholars of Muslims said it is ( Mustahab mean: grateful )  يستحب أن يصام التاسع وأن يصام العاشر Fasting on the ninth day in addition to the tenth day   هذا وقد ورد حديث في أن الحادي عشر يصام About Hadith(Sunnah) was said in it : fasting in eleventh day    كذلك لكنه حديث ضعيف الاسناد لا يثبت عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم   This Hadith (Sunnah )  there is no proof that the Prophet said it because its reference is weak
